I Need to Apologize (Explicit)

[Oberst W. Klink]

Kinch:
Wow ... Colonel... I don't want to be insolent or anything but you should really apologize. When he's even tried to protect us...
*Looks at Hogan with a frown*
*It's all very unlike his colonel*

[Oberst W. Klink]

Schultz:
*After he had breakfast himself went to Klink's quarters*
*Is preparing breakfast for the Kommandant*
*Tries to be quiet to not wake him*

[Col. R. Hogan]

"Believe me, I planned on it. I'm just giving Klink a few days to calm down before I do. Otherwise, I doubt he'll listen to me. But I still need you to give the daily reports until I can fix things. I highly doubt he wants me anywhere near him right now...and that's understandable. Can't exactly expect him to trust me again overnight."
*shrugs*
"However, I have a way to prove to Klink that my apology is sincere."

[Col. R. Hogan]

"Oy, looks like you really got yourself into a sticky wicket this time, Guv. That's a mite unusual for you. Normally, you're the one bailing me an' me mates out of trouble."
*leans against the wall*
"If I might ask, what's your plan?"

[Col. R. Hogan]

*sighs*
"In a nutshell, I'm gonna find out from Schultz what all tasks Klink’s been meaning to get done but hasn't yet. Accomplishing them should make his life a bit easier. I'll also be doing a few things I do not - repeat, do not - wanna do, but my reasons for that are private. I expect everyone here to keep both of those things under wraps too. If Klink finds out I'm doing them, he's liable to think I just want attention, and that's not the case here."
*turns to LeBeau*
"LeBeau, you don’t need to cook for me at all for a few days. I'm gonna be eating the mess hall food for that time frame."
*shudders when he thinks of the food there*
*even Schultz thinks it's disgusting and he eats pretty much anything*
*but it really is*
*the POWs get the organ meats that nobody else wants*
*which in his opinion should be all of them*
*but the Germans seem to eat some strange foods, ones that Americans wouldn't touch if you paid them*
*wonders just how many things like head cheese and liver he can choke down before his stomach rebels and escapes without him*
*supposes he's about to find out*
"Do you fellas have any other questions before I go look for Schultz?"

[Oberst W. Klink]

LeBeau:
*Stares at Hogan with open mouth*
*Is even more stunned than when Hogan told them Klink knows*
Excusez moi?! You want to do what?!!

Kinch:
*Just frowns and shakes his head*
*Has a feeling that there's more trouble in the near future*
*And he's also a bit worried about whether the Colonel's attentions are on the right things*

[Oberst W. Klink]

*he wakes late that morning*
*The dizziness is gone luckily but has given way to a terrible headache*
*Is thankful that Schultz didn't tried to wake him for roll call when he glances at his alarm clock*
*Tapers to the bathroom to get more water to wash down two more aspirins*
*Every muscle in his body hurts which must have been the stress leading to him unconsciously tightening his muscles*
*Ponders whether he should go right back to bed or take a long hot bath to ease the muscle soreness*
*Decides on going right back to bed after drinking some more water*
*He doesn't even open the door to the living room to find the breakfast Schultz has laid out for him*

[Col. R. Hogan]

"You heard me...I'm gonna eat the mess hall food. I'll let you know when you're clear to cook for me again."
*mouth is set in a determined line*
"The last two times it was my turn to eat it, I got a pass because I was sick. So I'm due to eat in there for a while anyhow. This is as good a time to do it as any."
*gets to his feet*
*grabs his crush cap and jacket*
*puts both of them on*
*gives all 4 of them a stern look*
"Seriously, I mean it. Not a single word of this conversation to anyone, including the other prisoners. I'll make it an order if I have to."
*expression morphs into his usual carefree grin*
"Don't worry, fellas. I'm not crazy. I promise you, I know what I'm doing."
*turns and walks out*

[Col. R. Hogan]

*shakes his head*
*checks to make sure Hogan is gone before speaking*
"I think that's up for debate at this point."

[Oberst W. Klink]

Schultz:
*Is in the Kommandant's kitchen*
*Hears a door open, so expects Klink to have woken up*
*Goes to the living room*
Good morning, Herr Kommanda....
*Sees Hogan*
Colonel Hooogan!
*Whispers*
What are you doing in here?!
Sie ham hier nix zum suachn, gell?
Ab! Raus!
*Starts to shoo Hogan outside*
The Kommandant is asleep and can not be disturbed! *Still whispers sternly*

[Col. R. Hogan]

*holds up his hands to stop Schultz*
*speaks in a whisper*
"Easy, easy. I'm not looking for Klink. Actually, I was searching for you."
*glances at Klink’s closed door*
"How's he doing, by the way? Last couple of times I've seen him eat, he's kinda picked at his food."

[Oberst W. Klink]

Schultz:
For me?
*Eyes Hogan warily*
*Then shrugs at his question*
I have not seen him since he came in last night.
He was fine then, ordering me around...
I was just preparing some breakfast for when he wakes up.
*Looks longingly at thr kitchen*
The bakery's delivery this morning....mmmmm Colonel Hogan, there was pastries in the Kommandant's personal box!
*Is really envious that the Kommandant can order extras for himself while the guards only get bread and sometimes rolls*
*Gives the kitchen another very longing look*
*Sometimes the bakery "forgets" the Kommandant's extras, but not today*

[Col. R. Hogan]

*nods*
"Good, good. Look, I need to know if there's any tasks Klink’s been meaning to get done...aside from from his pile of paperwork, that is."
*figures that will probably be the first thing he tackles*
*surely it's piling up by now*
*what with Berlin wanting 8 copies of everything and all*
*feels sorry for the person who has to sort through all of that*
*not to mention file it*
"Seriously, anything at all. I'm bored and need something to occupy my time."
*is not going to reveal his true reasons*

Schultz:
You want to work because you're bored?
*Warily eyes him in disbelief*
Colonel Hooogan, what kind of monkey business are you planning now?!
*Still whispers*
You were verrry mean to the Kommandant when you let Hochstetter take him! I will not let you vex him any further!
*Looks at him with the most intimidating stare he can manage*

[Col. R. Hogan]

"Yeah. It's either that or find some 'monkey business', as you put it, to get into."
*makes air quotes with his fingers*
"Haven't planned any yet. I can if you want me to, though. It's been a while since I tried to dig any tunnels."
*briefly smirks, then turns serious.*
"I know that, Schultz. But I was pissed off at Klink for reasons I'm not gonna talk about. I never had any intention of letting him be hurt, though. You should know me better than that by now. Even if I did wanna see Klink bite it - which I don't - I sure as hell wouldn't give Hochstetter the pleasure of offing him. I can't stand that man."
*is not intimidated because he's seen a lot worse in this war*
*but admits that stare would probably works on his men*
*is surprised Schultz even knows how to look intimidating*
"Look, it's fine you can't think of anything. No big deal. Just means I'll just have to go with Option B, that's all. Thanks anyway."
*turns to walk away*

Schultz:
Mmmmmmm Colonel Hooogan! Wait!
*Hurries Ti get in front of Hogan*
Wait!
The Kommandant has been waiting for someone who needs to be punished to make them deepclean the latrines...
*Squeezes his eyes shut to think better*
And he mentioned that next time you want something from him he'll make your men fix the roof on the motor pool in return.
Also the kitchens are overdue for a inside renovation... But the funds have not been approved yet...
*Shudders when he thinks of the mold in the scullery*

[Col. R. Hogan]

*listens to Schultz's words*
*looks thoughtful*
"Alright, Schultz. I'll see to it that the roof of the motor pool is fixed. As for the rest of it, I'll see if I can arrange something. It never hurts to be prepared. Thanks for the information...see you later."
*is praying the krauts keep their scullery at least halfway clean as he walks away*
*is also wondering if it'd be better to forge the money or the paperwork*
*figures he'll ask Newkirk that question*

[Col. R. Hogan]

*is sitting on a bench outside smoking*
*and wondering - not for the first time - if his colonel has gone round the bend*
*there are times he truly thinks Hogan might be mad*
*muses that this could be part of some new plan they haven't been told about yet*
*After all, Hogan does make a habit of flying by the seat of his pants*
*which is an ironic saying since he's a pilot*
*looks up as the man in question calls out to him*
"Yes sir?"

[Col. R. Hogan]

*stops by Newkirk's side*
"Just found out from Schultz the kitchens here need a renovation, but the funds haven't been approved yet. I wanna change that."
*lowers his voice*
"My question to you is, would it be better to forge the money or the approval forms?"
*thoughtful expression*
"Also, do you think you can forge Klink’s signature? Multiple times in a relatively short time span, I should say."
