After much trial and error, I have managed to make things work for me. Yes, I'm rusty...the last time I roleplayed was over 10 years ago! Lol. Anyhow, here's some basic guidelines, as per Proboards terms of use.
[/img]Your URL here[/img]
Hope this helps everyone!
- Avatars should be at least 100x100 pixels so they can be seen easily. It is recommended you have one of these so other RPers can visually "see" your character.
- All signatures must be no bigger than 500×250 pixels. They're optional, but still fun to have. If anyone is interested, kindly post in the Requests thread and I'll see what I can do.
- To post an image in your signature - or anywhere else - you type
- For regular posts, you can just highlight the word to emphasize it in some way. But for signatures, it's a bit different, so here are the codes.
[i][/i] = Italics
[b][/b] = Bold
[i][b][/b][/i] = Bold italics
[u][/u] = Underline
[s][/s] = Strikethrough
[div align="center"][/div] = Words aligned in the center
like this.
- Keep in mind you always close the most recent tag first and work backwards, as seen in the bold italics set. Any text you put in between those sets of tags will look like the examples shown.
- For the center tag, substitute the word left or right for the word "center" to align your words in that direction instead.
- To post an image or use one in your signature, you'll need to upload it to an image hosting website. This is free and only takes a few minutes. At that point, you can copy the URL and paste it in between the image tags above. Here's a list of sites you can use. (I used Imgpile for mine.)
Finally, we come to the codes needed to post in color. This is a personal preference, but if you have a lot of characters - or just want to make it easier to find your posts in a thread - it's a good option. Each color has its own code, which is prefaced by # and 6 numbers, letters, or a mix of both. For example, black is #000000 and white is #ffffff.
Hope this helps everyone!
